Chomeiji Temple

It is said that Takeuchi no Sukune, who served as a minister during the reign of Emperor Keiko in the late 3rd century to early 4th century, prayed for longevity on this mountain and his prayers were answered, and many worshippers come here hoping to receive blessings for longevity. The main hall, with its cypress bark-roofed gabled roof built in 1524, the three-story pagoda erected in 1597, as well as the goma hall and bell tower, are designated as Important Cultural Properties by the national government and are well worth seeing.
