This animal cafe specializes in meerkats and is the first of its kind in Japan (as of October 2023). According to the manager, Ai Shoji, there are many meerkat breeders in Thailand, where meerkats are often kept in unsuitable conditions. Therefore, Ms. Shoji says she opened the cafe with the desire to "create a place in Japan where people can interact with meerkats! And a place where meerkats and people can spend happy times together!"
The cafe is home to many friendly meerkats, allowing visitors to spend time interacting with them at their leisure. Furthermore, a portion of the cafe's profits is intended to improve the meerkat's living environment. The price is 1,650 yen (tax included) for 30 minutes, with a minimum one-drink order (starting at 550 yen (tax included)).
Social media users have commented, "I went to a meerkat cafe! The babies were about two months old and so relaxing...", "They're so cute", "I want to go so badly, is it heaven!?!?", and "They were all so energetic and came close to play, it was so much fun!" If you're interested, why not pay a visit?
