Lake Tanuki

Lake Tanuki is located in a corner of the vast Asagiri Plateau, and commands a full view of Mt. Fuji to the east. Stretching 1km east to west, 0.5km north to south and with a circumference of 3.3km, the lake reflects not only the sacred Mount Fuji but also the legendary Mount Tenshigatake, making it a truly mystical lake. In addition to cherry blossoms and various azaleas along the lakeside, a broadleaf forest spreads out to the north, and with the majestic Mt. Fuji in the background, a beautiful landscape unfolds. From the cherry blossoms in spring to the autumn leaves, the lake offers a beautiful backdrop to the majestic Mt. Fuji.
