Ceramic tile of the pillar of the Konaruto Shinbashi Bridge (Konaruto, Kitadomari, Awa, from the Sixty-eight Views of Various Provinces)

This ceramic panel was installed on the main pillar of the Konarutoshimbashi Bridge on the prefectural road Kameura Port Kushiki Line (Naruto Skyline) as part of a project by the Hyogo/Tokushima World Heritage Registration Promotion Council. The panel depicts an ukiyo-e of Naruto painted by an Edo period ukiyo-e artist based on the ukiyo-e of "Sixty-eight Views of Various Provinces: Konarutoshimbashi, Awa Kitadomari," and has been installed so that visitors can compare past and present scenery from Konarutoshimbashi Bridge.
