Echizen Ono Castle

Echizen Ono Castle is a mountain castle ruins from the Sengoku period located in Ono City, Fukui Prefecture. It was built in 1576 by Nagachika Kanamori and is also called Kasumigajo. Located on the summit of Mt. Kameyama at an altitude of 249 meters, the current castle tower was rebuilt in 1968. It is especially popular as a ``castle in the sky'' when it appears floating in a sea of ​​clouds. The beauty of each season, such as the cherry blossoms in spring and the colored leaves in autumn, is also attractive, making it a tourist spot where you can fully enjoy history and nature.
