Ukraine National Opera Orchestra "Ninth Symphony & Fate" (Tokyo)

The "Ninth & Fate" concert, sponsored by Koransha, will be held in December 2024. In this concert, the National Opera Orchestra of Ukraine will perform Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 "Fate" and Symphony No. 9 "Choral". Conducted by Mykola Djadura, the concert features soprano Lilia Grevtsova, mezzo-soprano Angelina Sivachka, tenor Dmytro Kuzmin, and bass Sergei Magera. The chorus will be provided by the Shinyukai Choir, who will deliver a majestic and moving performance. Beethoven's "Ninth" is a choral symphony based on Schiller's poem "Ode to Joy" and has themes of liberty, equality, and fraternity. "Fate" is known for its distinctive opening motif and contains a powerful message of facing fate.
