Kawazu cherry blossoms along Yodo Channel

Kawazu-zakura in Yodo Channel is an early-blooming cherry blossom spot located in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City, and usually begins blooming in early February. Approximately 300 Kawazu cherry trees bloom along the waterway, and their deep pink color captivates visitors. The best time to see the cherry blossoms is in early March, when the local neighborhood association holds a cherry blossom festival where you can enjoy the warm atmosphere unique to the area, with hot tea and cherry blossom soup served. Kawazu cherry blossoms are also known for their long blooming period, making them popular with tourists who want to get ahead of spring. It's easy to access, about a 10-minute walk from Yodo Station on the Keihan Railway, making it a great place to visit with your family or friends.
