Kinugasayama Park

Kinugasayama Park is a city park located in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and occupies the entirety of Kinugasayama, which is approximately 134 meters above sea level. It was established in 1907 (Meiji 40) to commemorate the fallen soldiers of the Russo-Japanese War, and approximately 2,000 cherry trees are planted within the park. These cherry blossoms have been selected as one of Japan's top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots, and the best time to see them is from late March to early April every year, and the area is crowded with many cherry blossom viewing visitors. In particular, the Kinugasa Sakura Festival is held in spring, and the area is illuminated during the festival. The park is full of spots that the whole family can enjoy, including a ``Wanpaku Forest'' where children can play, a ``Firefly Village'', and a ``Picnic Square''. Additionally, from the observation tower at the top of the mountain, you can enjoy views of Yokosuka city, Tokyo Bay, Mt.
