Poppo Onsen

Poppo Onsen is located in Matsuno-cho, the smallest town in Ehime Prefecture. The hot spring is located on the second floor of Matsumaru Station on the JR Yodo Line. The hot spring water is heated with firewood, so it doesn't get cold easily. There is a sake brewery near the hot spring, so the open-air bath is designed to resemble a sake brewery. This is a rare hot spring facility where you can see trains from the open-air bath. As of January 27, 2025, adults can bathe for a reasonable price of 520 yen. This price also includes a sauna. There is also a family bath, but this is an additional charge. Every year on August 13th, a fireworks display is held in front of the hot spring, and you can watch the fireworks from the open-air bath.
