Komachi Street

Along the road from the east exit of Kamakura Station to the southwest corner of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine (the intersection with Yokooji), a one-way street running north for about 360 meters parallel to the west side of Wakamiya-oji, is a bustling shopping street lined with about 250 stores, including stores selling daily necessities for local customers, souvenir shops for tourists, and restaurants. This area, which lies between Komachi 1-chome on the south side and Yukinoshita 2-chome on the north side, is lined with stores that reflect the characteristics of the region and is popular with local residents and tourists alike.
