Lockheart Castle

Lockheart Castle is the only genuine European castle in Japan, relocated and restored from Scotland, UK. The 100,000m2 grounds recreate a medieval townscape and include an English-style garden that shares the nature of the four seasons, a dog playland, and Maria's Hill. Inside the castle, there is an exhibition room for Lockheart Castle's historical materials, an authentic English cafe, and a theater. In addition, three museums, including the Jewelry Museum, Santa Museum, and Teddy Bear Museum, are open to the public free of charge. In the restaurant, you can enjoy dishes and sweets made with locally grown organic vegetables while looking out at the castle. The dress-up experience inside the castle is popular with couples, children, and the elderly, who can all enjoy it. The pet dress-up experience is original and has been talked about as a fun experience that can only be enjoyed here. There are also plenty of experiences available, such as making your own original snow globe, stone bracelets and rock art. It's the perfect spot to create special memories while feeling the history and romance of Takaharu Village and the beautiful scenery of the Takayama Village .
