Kakuhama Sesame Tofu Main Shop

This store manufactures its products on Mount Koya, a designated World Heritage site, and delivers them to the various temples on the mountain, including Kongobu-ji Temple, the head temple. Since the Meiji period, it has been popular as a local specialty and a souvenir for visitors to the mountain. It has also been selected as a Wakayama Prefecture Excellent Souvenir and a Nationally Recommended Excellent Souvenir, and two years ago it received the Federation Chairman's Effort Award at the National Tourist Souvenir Review Board. We do not use any additives, and we work hard every day to use "real" ingredients and traditional manufacturing methods that have been handed down through the generations.
