Koboke Observation Deck

View the hidden valley from high above: Oboke Observatory Deck The first destination on the way to Tokushima's hidden Iya region is the Koboke Observatory. One theory is that the distinctive name "Koboke" comes from the fact that it is so steep that even walking with small steps is dangerous. From here, you can look down on the magnificent Yoshinogawa and the valleys on both banks. The view of the overlapping mountains and meandering river is so captivating that you'll want to take pictures one after another. If you time it right, you can even take a photo that looks like something out of a movie with a train running through the mountains!
