Amagasaki Castle

In 1617, by order of the Edo Shogunate, Toda Ujikane, a fudai feudal lord, became the lord of Amagasaki and built a new castle. For about 250 years, Amagasaki Castle boasted its majestic appearance as the defense of the west of Osaka until it was demolished after the castle abolition order in 1873. It was rebuilt in 2019 and is still a beloved symbol of the town today. Inside the castle, you can take commemorative photos dressed in ninja or warrior costumes with gold sliding doors in the large hall modeled after the "Golden Room" of the Amagasaki Castle of the time, as well as enjoy a VR theater and a corner where you can try swordsmanship and guns. There are plenty of educational and playful contents that are unique to this new castle.
