Mishima Taisha Shrine

Mishima Taisha is a historic shrine located in Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture. It enshrines Oyamatsumi-no-mikoto, the guardian deity of agricultural products in the mountains and forests, and Tsumihayae Kotoshironushi-no-kami, known as the god of good fortune. These two deities are collectively known as Mishima Daimyojin and have been worshipped by many people since ancient times. He is especially revered as a deity that brings good fortune to those in business, industry, and fishing. The grounds are filled with beautiful scenery that evokes history, and the tranquil atmosphere that soothes worshippers is an attractive feature.
