Eikando Temple

"Eikando" has long been known as "Eikando of the Maple Trees," and is so famous for its beautiful autumn leaves that it was even mentioned in the Heian period poetry collection "Kokin Wakashu." The rock wall maples planted on the steep slopes near the hall and corridors are a spot that can only be seen here. They are also lit up at night, showing a completely different look from daytime.
