One of the three largest sand dunes in Japan, it is the longest sand dune in Japan, stretching 47km from Ichikikushikino City in the north to Hioki City and Minamisatsuma City. Facing the East China Sea, the northern half of Minamisatsuma City's coastline is Fukiagehama Beach. Chosen as one of Japan's 100 best beaches, the scenery of white sand and green pines woven together is so beautiful it can be called an original Japanese landscape!
