This was the former residence of French engineer Mousset, who contributed greatly to the development of the Ikuno mine. In 1887, it was moved to Mikobata and used as an office. The building is decorated in colonial style, with stylish verandas on all four sides. In 2007, it was recognized as a modern industrial heritage site. Currently, you can see models and photos of the Mikobata ore dressing plant when it was in operation, and photos by photographer Mineko Orishuku are also on display. In front of Mousset's former residence, there is a large 200-year-old crape myrtle tree that was recognized as a local monument of Hyogo Prefecture in 1996.
