Tanitsune Confectionery

This long-established confectionery shop has been representing Yabu City since its founding in 1868. We create sweets that incorporate seasonal ingredients and are associated with the Tajima region, using pure water and carefully selected ingredients, while maintaining the traditional techniques of our artisans to create products that are unique to Tanitsune. The famous sweet "Ayu no Sasayaki" is a soft and chewy masterpiece that Tanitsune is proud of, made with homemade castella dough and top-quality bean paste from Tokachi , Hokkaido, wrapped in gyuhi mochi! There is also a cafe space inside the store where you can relax and enjoy the store's signature sweets and cakes. At LABO (a sweets-making experience workshop), you can make traditional Japanese sweets together with experienced artisans, or create your own original cake or sweets with friends and family for special occasions such as birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Christmas, all while having fun and learning. The factory tour course is available in English and Chinese for tourists from overseas. It is an educational course that deepens your understanding of the history of Tanitsune and sweets, as well as the joy of food. Tours of the sweets-making course are free of charge.
