Setagaya Ward Hanegi Park

Hanegi Park is a municipal park located in Daita, Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, with an area of approximately 80,000 square meters, and is the largest park in the Kitazawa area. The park is equipped with sports facilities such as softball fields and tennis courts, as well as playgrounds for children such as a children's playground and a play park. The play park in particular is an adventure playground that was established for the first time in Japan to commemorate the International Year of the Child in 1979, and is popular as a place to foster independence and creativity with the motto "play freely at your own responsibility." There is also a plum grove with approximately 650 plum trees, and the Setagaya Plum Festival is held every year from early February to early March, attracting many visitors. In addition, the park is equipped with a teahouse called "Nichigetsuan" and a Japanese-style room called "Seishindo," and is used as a place for tea ceremony and flower arrangement activities.
