Namba Yasaka Shrine

Although there are no detailed documents remaining such as the date of Namba Yasaka Shrine's founding, according to the shrine's legend, it was called ``Namba Shimo no Miya'' and was the local deity of the Namba area. It has been known to the world as an old shrine that enshrined Gion Gozu Tenno since the time of Emperor Gosanjo's Enkyu era (1069 to 1073). In 2001, it was designated as an intangible folk cultural property for the first time in Osaka City.
