Nakasendo Hishiya Museum

The Furuyama family residence, which was a prominent merchant family in Ooijuku, was renovated and restored. It is very close to its original state. In the reference room, you can find materials that touch on the characteristics of Ooijuku and nearby villages, centering on old documents about the state of commerce at the time and the haikai poetry that the head of the family enjoyed. "Hishiya" was designated as a cultural property of Ena City in 1997.
