Kawakami Bettei Historic Site Park

This area is where the residence of Sakyo Kanamori (younger brother of Shigekatsu and Shigeyori Kanamori III) was located. After that, it became the villa of Saiemon Kawakami, an elderly man in the town. The garden has the atmosphere of Sowa, the founder of the Sowa style of tea ceremony. The Inari Shrine in the garden was built by Yoshika Taniguchi's older brother Yosaburo Nobuyasu, and was built in 1842 with all zelkova construction, and the roof roof has a houndstooth pattern. The storehouse was built in the late Edo period and was made by Edoya Manzo, a master plasterer, and on the inside of the door, the stucco work of a sunrise and twin cranes on brightly colored pine remains.
