Kaibara History and Folklore Museum and the Taste Woman Memorial Museum

The museum was established adjacent to the nationally designated historic site, the Kaibara Domain Jin'ya Ruins, as a facility for collecting, preserving, researching and exhibiting materials primarily from the Kaibara Domain. In 1997, the Ta Stejo Memorial Museum, which houses a collection of valuable belongings from Ta Stejo, a female haiku poet from Kaibara in the mid-Edo period, was opened adjacent to the museum.
