Yoritomo Well Forest

It is said that Minamoto no Yoritomo drank this spring water by the cup to quench his thirst when he held the Fuji Makigari hunting event at the foot of Mt. Fuji on May 8, 1193, and the majestic forest surrounding the spring came to be called "Yoritomo's Well Forest." The forest is a primeval forest mainly consisting of deciduous trees, with a mixture of tall and medium-sized shrubs. From spring to summer, various wild birds visit the forest and sing beautiful songs.
