Nagasaki Port

Nagasaki Port opened in 1571 and prospered through trade with the Netherlands and China, becoming a source of various cultures and academics. In the 19th century, it served as a bridge between Japan and China (Shanghai), becoming a place of exchange for many people. Today, the port is one of Japan's leading ports of call for tourist ships, and has developed waterside spaces such as Nagasaki Waterfront Park, making it a popular destination for many people.
