Michinoku Date Masamune History Museum

Scenes from the life of the warlord Date Masamune from his birth to his later years are vividly reproduced with elaborate and emotive wax figures. This is a facility where you can experience Masamune's life as if you were in it, and learn about history! The premises also include a cafe where you can enjoy parfaits and sweets from Miyagi named after Date Masamune, and an oyster hut where you can enjoy the local specialty oysters and seafood. In the experience program, you can even take a commemorative photo wearing Date Masamune's armor (reservations required in advance).
