History

The museum has reused the old staff room on the first floor of the former Kawasaki Elementary School, and mainly exhibits artifacts excavated from ruins in the city, old documents, and folk tools related to past life and work donated by local residents. One particularly recommended exhibit is a colored paper painting of the head of a puppet used in Bunraku puppetry, hand-drawn by Oe Minosuke IV, a puppet maker from Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture.
