Oigami Onsen

Oigami Onsen is a lodging and hot spring facility in Numata City , Gunma, which can be accessed from Tokyo in about two hours. The spring water is soft and smooth to the touch. The hot spring town is compact, and it is a hot spring resort where you can feel the tranquil rural scenery and nature. The famous morning market is held every year from April 20th to November 20th. It is said to be the best in the Kanto region, and is a seasonal sight in the hot spring town, where you can see hotel guests in yukatas looking for souvenirs. Local vegetables, wild plants, homemade pickles, miso, and more are lined up in rows. At Oigami Onsen, where the legend of the hot springs' discovery is told of a battle between a giant snake that was transformed from the god of Mount Akagi and a giant centipede that was transformed from the god of Mount Futara in Nikko, the Giant Snake Festival is held every May to give thanks to the god of Mount Akagi for discovering the hot springs of Oigami.
