Nikobuchi

Nikobuchi, located upstream of the Niyodo River, is one of the most popular spots, leading people to say, "This blue is Niyodo Blue." It is a small pool where clear water pours straight down, and even though it is a waterfall basin, it is so clear that you can see the bottom. The waterfall basin at the bottom of the valley, surrounded by trees, is bathed in faint light, causing the water to change color from green to blue depending on the time of day. Incidentally, the time when the sun shines directly above is around noon, when the water looks its most "Niyodo Blue," and many tourists visit at this time.
