Narai-juku

Narai-juku is the 34th post station on the Nakasendo. The village developed on the lower side of the river terraces at an altitude of 900m, and is now designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, preserving the townscape of that time. With temples and shrines nestled in the mountains, it is well-maintained as a tourist town with post towns, restaurants, souvenir shops, and more.
