[Official] Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency Tsukuba Space Center (operated by the Public Relations Department)

Tsukuba Space Center was established in 1972 as a base for Japan's space development project. We carry out research and development and development testing of artificial satellites and rockets, track and control launched satellites, operate and control the Japanese Experiment Module Kibo on the International Space Station, and train astronauts. There is also a tour facility where you can see, feel, and learn about space development, and a real H-II rocket with a total length of about 50 meters is on display in the rocket plaza. The exhibition hall ``Space Dome'' has many test models of rocket engines and artificial satellites that were actually used, and you can also see a full-scale model of the Japanese Experiment Module on the International Space Station ``Kibo.''
