Pottery Footpath

Pottery Footpath in Tokoname City, Chita Peninsula, Aichi Prefecture, is a particularly popular tourist spot located on a hill in the city center. The starting point is the Tojiki Kaikan, a 5-10 minute walk from Tokoname Station. Pick up a pamphlet here and enjoy a stroll through the maze-like alleys. Pottery Footpath Course A is 1.6km long and takes about 60 minutes. You will walk through spaces that convey a unique atmosphere and history, such as brick chimneys and kilns, black-walled factories, and slopes made of recycled ceramic materials. Pottery Footpath Course B is 4km long and takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes. There are plenty of sightseeing facilities, including the INAX Live Museum, which shows the history of Tokoname ware and is an industrial tourism facility. You can enjoy shopping on both courses.
