Meiji Shrine Gaien Ginkgo Trees

There are 146 ginkgo trees on both sides of the road leading from Aoyama Dori to the Shotoku Memorial Picture Gallery. It is often used as a filming location for TV dramas, and at its peak, the autumn leaves turn golden yellow and look like a shining tunnel when illuminated by sunlight. At the festival, which is held from around November 15th to the first week of December, you can enjoy local specialties from all over Japan and live performances by street performers.
