Hachikita Highlands

Hachikita Highlands is a Highlands located on the north side of Mt. Hachibuse, which boasts an altitude of 1,221 meters, in the northwest of Hyogo Prefecture, south of Kami Town. In addition to the various alpine plants that bloom in abundance on the plateau, you can also see many precious wetland plants, including the Ozasa skunk cabbage community, a natural monument of Hyogo Prefecture. The Highlands changes color from spring to autumn, and in the midst of this blessed natural environment, many people enjoy activities that make use of the area's rich natural environment, such as camping, running, trekking, bird watching, forest bathing, and outdoor music festivals. In winter, the Hachikita Ski Resort opens, boasting the best snow quality in the Kansai region. It is bustling with skiers and snowboarders, with a 4km long course stretching from the summit, a variety of slopes, and a course where the World Mogul Championships have been held.
