Ginzan Onsen

Ginzan Onsen is filled with the romance of the Taisho Era: fresh greenery and wild vegetable dishes in spring, summer to escape the heat, autumn foliage in autumn, and snowscapes in winter. The Ginzan River is located in the Goshoyama area of the Funagata Mountain Range, a prefectural natural park, and is deeply eroding the mountainous area at an altitude of 400-500m in front of the Ou Mountains that runs along the prefectural border. The Ginzan River descends to an altitude of 260 to 300m, and still flows into this Ginzan Onsen, which is approaching the foot of the mountain. As an affordable course for a walk after bathing, you can go around Shirogane Park, Shirogane Waterfall, Omokage Garden, and Silver Mining Cave in about 40 minutes. In the center of the hot spring town, a new Warashiyu (footbath) and Shiroganeyu (communal bath) have been opened.
