Tateiwa & Nochigahama Beach

This coast is dominated by Tateiwa, a geospot representing Kyotango. The clear seawater and large grains of sand polished by the waves make this a great spot to swim in the summer. In winter, the dynamic rough waves of the Sea of Japan combine with the snowy scenery of Tateiwa to create spectacular winter views. Cross the Tenki Tenki Bridge over the mouth of the Takeno River and enjoy a walk to the Onaru Burial Mounds, or head west along the coastline to Nochigahama Beach. There is also the Tenki Tenki Tango Roadside Station nearby.
