The shape of the land resembles two mating dragonflies (heart-shaped), and Naruto is considered an important place in the Manyoshu, so it is said that "there must be a heart-shaped landform somewhere in Naruto." We hope that the heart-shaped island of Kagamishima will become a peaceful scenic spot. Furthermore, Kagamishima is the site of the Ryugu Festival (a Shinto ritual to pray for safety at sea and a good catch) held once a year, and as it is revered and cherished as a sacred place, landing on the island is prohibited.
