The viewing point is the Naruto Skyline Yomomitenboudai. However, while Kagamishima is clearly visible, unfortunately the heart shape cannot be seen from the observation deck. Currently, a guide signboard has been installed that explains the view from the Yomomitenboudai, and on the signboard is a QR code that allows you to watch a video of Kagamishima taken by a drone. There are various theories about the heart-shaped island, but in ancient times, when the country was small, Emperor Jimmu, who looked out over the country from the top of a mountain, wrote that the country was "like dragonflies mating." The shape of the island resembles mating dragonflies (heart shaped), and since Naruto is considered an important land in the Man'yoshu, it is said that "there must be a heart shaped shape somewhere in Naruto." We hope that the heart shaped island, Kagamishima, will become a soothing scenic spot. In addition, Kagamishima is the island where the Ryugu Festival (a Shinto ritual to pray for safety at sea and a good catch) is held once a year, and it is revered and cherished as a sacred place, so landing on the island is prohibited. In addition, the area around Kagamishima is a thriving fishing area, with many fish farming and fishing rafts, and frequent boats.
