It is worshipped as the guardian deity of Tokushima Prefecture. Within the grounds are the Megane Bridge, the German Bridge, and a large camphor tree that is said to be about 1,000 years old. At the entrance to the approach, lined with camphor trees and 100 stone lanterns, there is a large 14-meter-tall torii gate.
