The "Shizuoka SAKE Trip" is a trip to visit attractive sightseeing spots in Shizuoka while tasting three types of sake from Shizuoka. Shizuoka is very accessible, with a 1 hour Shinkansen from Tokyo Station, a 1 hour 50 minute Shinkansen from Shin-Osaka, and a direct express bus from Haneda Airport. We will pick you up at Shizuoka Station in a chartered bus, so you can enjoy the tour easily and comfortably even if you have luggage. Day 1 ● At "Otsuka Vineyard", you will enjoy Shizuoka's first natural wine "Craft Rose Wine" and lunch made with Shizuoka ingredients. A craftsman from Shizuoka's famous bistro and bakery will accompany you and explain the dishes. ● At the Japanese whiskey "Gaia Flow Distillery" in Oxizu, a place rich in nature in Shizuoka, you will enjoy a tour of the whiskey making factory, a rare method in the world, where whiskey is distilled over an open fire, a firewood chopping experience, and a tasting of barrel-aged whiskey. ●At "Sumpu no Kobo Takumi-yado," one of the largest traditional craft experience facilities in Japan, you will stroll through Marukoji, a post town on the Tokaido 53 Stations, and then experience "Suruga Bamboo Sensuji Crafts," a traditional Shizuoka craft that has been passed down in Shizuoka since the Imagawa and Tokugawa periods. You can also enjoy the craft exhibits at the Takumi-yado Traditional Crafts Museum and drink craft beer from "Shizuoka Brewery." ●At the end of the first day, you will enjoy a dinner of Shizuoka ingredients paired with sake at "Simples," a restaurant visited by customers from all over the country. The collaboration between two famous chefs will give you an unprecedented experience. For day trippers, we will take you to Shizuoka Station by chartered bus. ● For overnight guests, you will stay at "Izumigaya Crafts Inn Waraku" near Takumi-yado. This renovated old house has rooms filled with furniture and tools from Shizuoka's traditional crafts, and you can spend a relaxing time in a private sauna and tea spa. On the second day, you can choose from options such as the Nihondaira Yume Terrace with its spectacular views of Mt. Fuji, the Kunozan Toshogu Shrine, a national treasure where Tokugawa Ieyasu is enshrined, the Shizuoka City Tokaido Hiroshige Museum of Art where you can experience printmaking, a meal of Yui's Sakura Shrimp, which boasts the largest catch in Japan, and a tour of a sake brewery. The Shizuoka SAKE Trip is not only delicious, but also works towards the SDGs, offering dishes such as meatballs made from grape branches and smoked black tea made from recycled whiskey barrels.
