Ancient Experience Forest (Kaminoyama Ruins)

On the grounds there are restored pit dwellings from the Jomon, Yayoi and Kofun periods, as well as an ancient raised-floor storehouse, a museum offering hands-on learning about ancient times, and a private home from the early Meiji period, where the remains of dwellings and excavated items from the Kaminoyama ruins are kept. With a variety of hands-on learning opportunities, it's also perfect for summer vacation independent study.
