Skunk cabbage park

Mizubasho Park is a facility developed into a park in the wetlands near the top of Oya Kabosaka, where skunk cabbage blooms in its natural habitat. As a rare species of skunk cabbage that grows wild in the westernmost part of Japan, it has been designated a Hyogo Prefecture Natural Monument. The park also has a rest area with an observation deck that offers a great view. The park is open every year from mid-April to early May, when the skunk cabbage blooms.
