Fukui Prefectural Pottery Museum

Opened in 1971 as the central facility of Echizen Pottery Village. It has three facilities: a museum where you can see and learn about the history and characteristics of Echizen ware, a pottery class where you can make pottery using Echizen clay, and a tea garden where you can taste Echizen ware. It is an experiential museum where you can "see, make, touch and taste" and is equipped with a full-scale replica model of a Kamakura period anagama kiln and a museum shop, allowing you to spend a relaxing time in the vast Echizen Ceramic Art Village and Ceramic Art Park, which changes with the seasons.
