Echizen Old Kiln Museum

The Echizen Pottery Village opened on October 28, 2017 with the "Old Pottery Museum," which displays nationally registered tangible cultural properties, the "Former Mizuno Family Residence," a relocated old house from Fukui, and the "Echizen Ancient Kiln Museum," which consists of the authentic teahouses "Tenshindo" and "Tenshinan." The museum displays the "Fukui Prefecture Ceramic Materials (Mizuno Collection)," a nationally registered tangible cultural property, and introduces Echizen ware from the Heian period to modern times. In addition to exhibiting and researching old Echizen, the facility also features an authentic teahouse and an old house that can be used as a community space, making it a facility that can be used for a variety of occasions.
