Inuyama Castle

Inuyama Castle is one of only five national treasure castles in Japan. It was built in the 6th year of Tenbun (1537) during the Muromachi period, and the castle tower is one of the oldest in existence in Japan. The view of the Kiso River from the top floor of the castle tower, built on top of a small mountain, is truly spectacular. Around Inuyama Castle, there are many tourist facilities such as the old townscape of Inuyama Castle Town, kimono experience, and cafes. You can enjoy the castle that survived the turbulent waves of history, fought over by Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, and Ieyasu, known as the Three Great Heroes.
