Ramona

Ramona, an editor at MATCHA since 2016, arrived in Japan in 2012 as a graduate student with a focus on Japanese literature and performing arts. Following four years of writing monthly Noh theater and contemporary stage reviews, she joined the MATCHA team and started exploring Japan beyond Tokyo, Kyoto, and Nara. Having visited and documented 40 of Japan's prefectures, she is very passionate about Japan's history and culture. Practicing ikebana flower arrangement (Ikenobo School) and the traditional tea ceremony (Omote Senke) since 2012, Ramona spends her free time arranging flowers or attending theater performances and visiting exhibitions around Tokyo.
