One of Japan's newest glamping resorts, Nagara Riverside Glamping KITEN offers a luxury outdoor experience complete with stunning natural scenery, incredible food, and the soothing sounds of one of the country's clearest rivers.
For those looking for an escape from the chaos of city life, Gifu’s newest glampsite Nagara Riverside Glamping KITEN offers just that.
Located in one of Japan’s most scenic areas, along the banks of a stunning river and surrounded by natural scenery, this new site gives guests the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor life amid the soothing sounds of nature.
Those staying at the site can enjoy outdoor activities whilst being comforted by the babbling sounds of flowing water or the cracking of a campfire under an expansive starlit sky.
The new site is located in the heart of Gifu Prefecture, one of Japan’s most beautiful areas, and can be accessed within just one hour of Nagoya.
It lies alongside the Nagara River, considered to be one of Japan’s top 3 cleanest rivers, as well as being a place where traditional cormorant fishing practices live on.
Not far from the site is Gujo Hachiman, a picturesque castle town known as the “town of water” due to its breathtaking waterways.
Gifu is also famously home to the beautiful historical town of Takayama and the incredible traditional village Shirakawago, a registered UNESCO World Heritage site. The prefecture is also well known for its numerous, high-quality hot springs and local traditions.
The new resort offers three individual types of tent, each with stunning interiors and windows offering panoramic views of the area's stunning riverside scenery.
Each unit comes complete with its own private bath and toilet, as well as a private dining and barbecue area. The tents are also equipped with both heating and air conditioning, meaning they can be enjoyed throughout the year, and have refrigerators for storing food.
The barbecue facilities are perfect for enjoying Gifu’s famed local cuisine on offer at the site; which includes the high-quality wagyu Hida beef, as well as the area’s delicious local vegetables.
Another unique facility offered on site is a tent sauna and open-air bath, giving guests the opportunity to unwind whilst enjoying the soothing sights and sounds of nature.
The perfect place for nature lovers, foodies, and those wishing to experience a more traditional side of Japan without sacrificing comforts - this new glampsite offers visitors an incredible taste of Gifu’s stunning natural scenery and local cuisine.
