This spring Toneri Park will be transformed into a luminous garden as the Tokyo Metropolitan Government presents the fourth annual Flower and Light Movement from April 10 to April 26, 2026.

The park’s wide hillside will be swathed in nemophila, those delicate sky‑blue blooms, paired with seasonal flowers, interactive installations, and synchronized lighting and sound that extend the daytime display into a magical evening experience. Admission is free; visitors are encouraged to check the event website for any last‑minute changes.

A transparent platform above the flowerbeds creates a floating photo moment. Stand on the clear floor and capture the seamless blend of blue flowers and open sky beneath your feet. This spot is designed for striking, social-media‑ready images.

Fountain Light Show

At the fountain plaza, sculpted flowers and butterflies come alive after dark in a five‑minute light-and-music sequence. Reflections on the water and moving illuminations create a layered, cinematic effect for evening viewers.

Color Story Lighting

The metasequoia promenade changes its mood across the run, multicolored lights set the tone during April 10–19, then shift to a unifying blue for April 20–26, guiding visitors from a riot of spring hues into a calm, nemophila‑dominated finale.

Interactive Dome Photo Spot

A dome pergola on the lawn offers touch‑activated lighting. Press the control box to trigger random light patterns that produce dynamic photos and short videos, perfect for playful night shots.
