Start planning your trip

Postcards can be obtained all over Japan. They’re great as souvenirs, but there’s also other ways to use them. We’ll introduce fun ways to use postcards at the end of your travels with those sold at the post office.
Once you’ve purchased your favorite postcard, write the address of its destination on the address side of the postcard. If you are mailing it overseas, please be aware that you will be writing the recipient’s address at the top and the sender’s address at the bottom.
If you would like to mail it by air mail, be sure to write AIR MAIL. This page has detailed information on how to address your postcard, so please use it as reference.
Next, stick a stamp onto the card. Stamps can be purchased at a post office or convenience store. There are various types of stamps available, so it’s fun to look for cute stamps, too.
After mailing it in the post, it will arrive in Asia in about four to seven days while America and Europe will take about seven days.
There are various ways to use postcards. How about finding your own way of using your postcards and add to the fun of your trip?
