There are 3 ways to go to Wakura Onsen from Kanazawa Station.

The merit of the bus is that it is low priced and direct. If you go by train, you will need to take a shuttle bus or taxi from the station to Wakura Onsen, but you can use the bus to reach the center of Wakura Onsen without having to make any transfers. Furthermore, when heading for Wakura Onsen from Kanazawa Station, you don't have to worry about sorting out which stop to get off at either!

Wakura Onsen by Train

There are two ways to reach Wakura Onsen, by using either the Express or Local trains. Which you choose depends on your preferred means of transportation and budget.

As the heart of Wakura Onsen is a bit far from Wakura Onsen Station, the closest train station to the hot springs, you will need to take either a taxi or shuttle bus to reach Wakura Onsen properly - however many hotels/accommodations offer their own free shuttles with reservation, so please check this information before making your trip.

You can go to Wakura Onsen Station from Kanazawa Station via the JR line.

Express Trains

Wakura Onsen Station can be reached directly by the JR Express. While this route is quite short, it is also somewhat expensive compared to the others.

How to Get to Wakura Onsen Station
1. Get on the Noto-Kagaribi Line or Express Hanayome Noren trains bound for Wakura Onsen Station at Kanazawa Station

2. Get off at the Wakura Onsen Station, the last stop.

Local Trains

It will take quite some time given all the transfers and the need to wait for your next train, but this is the cheapest means of travel and is ideal for those that would like to enjoy the scenery from their window.

How to Get to Wakura Onsen Station
1. Get on the Nanao Line train bound for Nanao Station at Kanazawa Station.

2. At Nanao Station, change to the Anamizu bound train on the Nanao Line (about one train per hour).

3. Get off at Wakura Onsen Station.
