If you go by train, you will need to take a shuttle bus or taxi from the station to Wakura Onsen, but you can use the bus to reach the center of Wakura Onsen without having to make any transfers. Wakura Onsen by Train

There are two ways to reach Wakura Onsen, by using either the Express or Local trains. Which you choose depends on your preferred means of transportation and budget.

As the heart of Wakura Onsen is a bit far from Wakura Onsen Station, the closest train station to the hot springs, you will need to take either a taxi or shuttle bus to reach Wakura Onsen properly - however many hotels/accommodations offer their own free shuttles with reservation, so please check this information before making your trip.
